I woke up one morning and decided to try to fly my drone with a group of brown pelicans. The results were pretty breathtaking. My DJI Mavic Pro has had a hard time keeping up with the airspeed of pelicans, depending on the conditions. Perhaps my batteries are getting old or I need better props. I noticed my Mavic Pro may be moving faster on a full battery vs a half-drained battery. Regardless, I have managed to get some beautiful shots and it is a fun challenge. What are your thoughts on flying with birds? Have you tried this yet? Are you concerned about hitting a bird? From my experience so far, they seem to stay out of the way.
