Time to show android users how you too can fly a drone without upgrading your phone! In today’s video I show android users how to fly and operate a DJI drone without having to have an iPhone. It’s very simple and straight forward to do, just download the app and you can fly the drone just using WiFi! While that is cool, using the controller gives you more range and you have more vital information to look at while in flight. To use the remote with an android, you need to buy a cable specific for the micro USB port and I was able to find one for a relatively cheap price and it works and operates just like it does with an iPhone. Aside from some updates that need to happen which don’t take too long, I had the drone up and flying within 15-20 minutes! I haven’t seen too many videos on how to do this and it’s probably because most people have an iPhone, but for those who don’t, hopefully this can help you out!!
